API Subsurface Pumps

Sucker Rod & Tubing Pumps — API Certified & Field-Proven

Manufactured strictly to API Spec 11AX, Highdrilling tubing and rod pumps are well suited for a wide range of pumping applications. Each pump is machined with an extra small clearance between the plunger and the barrel to provide maximum performance and a long service life.

API Sucker Rod Pumps: Quality That Shows

We manufacture all subsurface pumps covered by API Spec 11AX, including all barrel and plunger materials and surface finishes.

This is why Highdrilling sucker rod pumps can be furnished with the components most suitable for your field of application and pumping operations can easily be extended to corrosive environments.

To achieve maximum performance, Highdrilling API subsurface pumps are machined with extra small clearance between the plunger and the inside wall of the barrel.

Our sucker rod pumps are categorized according to the API 11AX pump designation, and are best used in combination with our API sucker rods.

API Rod Pumps

Sucker rod pumps, also known as sucker rod pumps or insert pumps, are classified by the letter R.

RH Rod Pumps

Heavy-wall barrel subsurface pumps for use at greater depths or under harsh pumping conditions, such as scale formation.

RHA Pump

RH insert pump with stationary barrel and top anchor seating.

Available with either a cup seating assembly (RHAC) or metal seal (RHAM).

Field of application

  • Wells of moderate depth and wells with scale formation
  • Sandy wells
  • Low fluid-level gaseous or foamy wells

RHB Pump

RH insert pump with stationary barrel and bottom anchor seating.

Available with either a cup seating assembly (RHBC) or metal seal (RHBM).

Field of application

  • Deep wells
  • Wells with low static fluid levels

RHT Pump

RH insert pump with travelling barrel and bottom anchor seating.

Available with either a cup seating assembly (RHTC) or metal seal (RHTM).

Field of application

  • Wells that are pumped intermittently
  • Sandy wells

RW Rod Pumps

Thin-wall barrel sucker rod pumps for use in wells of moderate depth and large volume wells.

RWA Pump

RW insert pump with stationary barrel and top anchor seating.

Available with either a cup seating assembly (RWAC) or metal seal (RWAM).

Field of application

  • Large volume wells
  • Sandy wells
  • Low fluid-level gaseous or foamy wells

RWB Pump

RW sucker rod pump with stationary barrel and bottom anchor seating.

Available with either a cup seating assembly (RWBC) or metal seal (RWBM).

Field of application

  • Large volume wells
  • Suitable for deeper wells due to bottom anchor design
  • Wells with low static fluid level

RWT Pump

RW insert pump with travelling barrel and bottom anchor seating.

Available with either a cup seating assembly (RWTC) or metal seal (RWTM).

Field of application

  • Large volume wells
  • Wells that are pumped intermittently

RX Rod Pumps

Rod pumps with heavy wall, internally threaded barrel.

RXB Pump

RX rod pump with static barrel and bottom anchor seating.

Available with either a cup seating assembly (RXBC) or metal seal (RXBM).

Field of application

  • Suitable for greater seating depths than RHB pumps

API Tubing Pumps

Tubing pumps are classified by the letter T.

TH pumps

TH is the only tubing pump configuration specified by API Spec 11AX.

Equipped with a heavy wall barrel and a bottom hold-down (anchor), these pumps are suitable for wells with harsh pumping conditions and were scale formation is a problem.

Available with either a cup seating assembly (THC) or metal seal (THM).

Field of application

  • Suitable for very deep wells if connected to a sufficiently robust sucker rod string.
  • Large volume wells where the larger production capacity outweighs the higher service costs of the pump.
